How To be Saved

There are only two kinds of people in the world, lost and saved. The most important question you will ever answer is which one are you?
The
lost are people who have never accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. These are lost to God because sin has broken down the line of communication between themselves and God. These will never find fulfillment and real meaning in life apart from a relationship to the God of life. These are lost to themselves because they will never become all they are capable of becoming apart from God.
The
saved are people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and are in the process of making Him the Lord of their lives. These have been forgiven of their sins through Jesus' death on the cross and have been given right standing with God through His sacrifice. These have been "born again" of the Spirit of God and have become the children of God by being birthed into His family. These know God's forgiveness and the peace and fulfillment it brings.
If you are not a
saved person and would love to be, read the following very carefully and then pray the prayer at the end. You must not only say the prayer but mean it from the depth of your being.

ACKNOWLEDGE YOU ARE A LOST SINNER
The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
This means you know you have not lived up to God's standard and you are in fear of God's judgment.

REALIZE THE PENALTY FOR SIN
The Bible says, "the wages of sin is death" (Roman 6:23a)
"Death" here means eternal separation from God and eternity in Hell. This is referred to as "wages" because this is what you earn for a life lived without Jesus payment for your debt.

RECOGNIZE SALVATION AS A GIFT FROM GOD
The Bible says, "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23b)
As a gift there is nothing you can do to earn it. Jesus provided for it and offers it to you freely. If you have to work to get it, then if you stop working you'll loose it and the Bible says it is "eternal life".

REALIZE HOW MUCH JESUS LOVES YOU
The Bible says, "God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
God loves you in spite of yourself. He loved you so much that he gave His Son for you while you were sinning and breaking His commands.

CALL UPON THE LORD
The Bible says, "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13)

CONFESS OPENLY AND BELIEVE
The Bible says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10: 9)
If you really mean business with God then you will not be ashamed to confess Jesus openly. You must believe with all your heart in the saving work of Jesus.

COMMIT YOURSELF TO JESUS
The Bible says, "present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1)
This is the act of accepting Jesus as your Savior and committing yourself to live for Him from now on.

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT ?
If so then Pray a prayer like this: Lord Jesus, I know you love me and died on the cross for my sins. I confess to you that I am a sinner, a lost person. I believe in you with all my heart and ask you to forgive me of my sins and come into my life and save me. I dedicate my life to you, please help me to
live for you. Thank you for saving me, Amen.
